Shaba National Reserve

Shaba National reserve is located in the semi rugged Northern Frontier of Kenya, east of Samburu National Reserve. It forms part of trio reserves and covers an area of 130 km2. The Ewaso Ngiro, a 34 km river gives life to the reserve existing wildlife. The reserve has unique attraction like the special five: Gerenuk antelope, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali Ostrich and Oryx Beisa. It’s also a home to the big Cats, Lion, Elusive Leopard - sometimes spotted during the daylight and herds of Elephants. This reserve is also a bird’s lover’s paradise where you can spot more than 200 species of birds. Virtually, the reserve looks lifeless until you in it and discover how amazing it is.
