Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is just 2 hours drive from Nairobi covering area of 118 km 2. The park is on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Its famous for the pink cover on the shoreline due to millions of Greater and lesser Flamingos residing here - truly an Ornithological Paradise. The Park has a Black and white Rhino which are easily spotted, rare tree climbing lions, elusive leopard, Reticulated giraffe, herds of buffallos and more than 350 birds species. Visitors can also enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges.
