Lake Kamnarok National Reserve is the only
Oxbow lake in Kenya. Located on the floor of Kerio Valley in Rift Valley and
has the second largest population of Crocodiles in Africa after Lake Chad. The
reserve is very prolific on birdlife, herds of elephants and buffalos. The other
attractions are the spectacular sceneries. The lake almost dried up but with the rainfall and the county government of Baringo ready to ensure it remains as a wetland and a tourist site.
