Places to visit in Kenya

Nairobi National Park
Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and a safari capital for East Africa and Africa. It's the only National park in the world that is a stone through from the city center where the King of Jungle roars in the city.
Zebra roaming at Nairobi National Park
Lioness at Nairobi National Park

David Sheldrick animal orphanage which has been on the forefront in restoration of endangered elephants to their safety also attract travelers who come face to face with the elephants .

Giraffe center provides an opportunity of one on one with the tallest mammal on earth the giraffe, feed and get a kiss from Giraffe. The endangered Rothschild giraffe are protected and breed here.

Masai Mara National park

The Mara is a Jewel of wildlife safari in Africa  it offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Some of the famous ones include: lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular phenomena event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture from Mid Jul - Oct annually.

The Masai Mara is classic African savannah, and the sheer density of wildlife is amazing. The big five sighting is out of question, the big cat diary of BBC has been filmed here due to highest number of cats in this park than any other in the world

Never miss a hot air balloon safari over the vast dotted acacia Savannah plains, this gives you an opportunity to take a film and photography floating in the air. Everlasting memoir of Africa.

Samburu national park

Samburu National Reserve lies in the Northern part of Kenya. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. There are over 50 species of wild animals and 350 species of birds in the reserve including unique species of special five: Gravy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Oryx Besia, Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, pancake tortoise and others like Greater and Lesser Kudu.
There are over 450 species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Neighboring communities to the reserve are the Samburu tribe a clan of the Maasai. They play a major role as part of tourist attraction in the area due to their unique cultural experiences by tourist through traditional ceremonies, food, dances and sale of traditional crafts.

Amboseli National Park

Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa’s highest - whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. It is quite an experience to see Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in an early morning.

The animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli is renowned for its huge elephant herds. Other residents of the Amboseli include: buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and other plain animals.

Tsavo East National park
Tsavo East, like Masai Mara is a very popular Wildlife Park as is indicated by the high number of tourists coming here on safari from all over the globe. Some of the best attractions are: Large herds of elephants, lions, zebra, and other wildlife. Popular legend of Tsavo “The Man-eaters of Tsavo”

Tsavo West National Park - "The Land of Lava, Man-eaters, springs and so
much more..."

The park is a vast expanse of savanna stretching all the way from Mtito Andei, along the Mombasa-Nairobi road and south to the Tanzanian border. There are numerous rocky outcrops and ridges and part of the park, towards the Chyulu Hills, is of relatively recent volcanic origin with lava flows and ash cones including the Shetani lava flow.

At Mzima Springs, in the North of the park, water that has filtered underground from the Chyulu Hills gushes from below a lava ridge into a
series of clear pools.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here (ornithological paradise). The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink.

The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species - particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, water buck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Lake Bogoria National Park

This small equatorial lake has geysers, and hot springs. They are relatively few vantage points from which you can see it but its topaz and green waters are strikingly beautiful. Along Lake Bogoria’s western shore is a bed of hot springs and blowholes, which infrequently erupt two and a half to three meters (8 to 10 ft) into the air, and constantly emit a pungent sulfur smell. These geothermal phenomena are intriguing but also dangerously hot where eggs get ready to eat in 3 minutes
